In recent years, counterfeit PEAK-System hardware products have increasingly appeared in the Asian market, particularly in Taiwan and Mainland China. Among these, counterfeit PCAN-USB products are the most commonly encountered.

PEAK-System hereby reminds all customers to remain vigilant and avoid purchasing products from unauthorized or unknown sources in order to protect the reliability of their equipment and safeguard their rights and interests.

⚠️ Important Notice

According to testing and verification conducted by PEAK-System, counterfeit products contain design flaws in their CAN communication and operational functions. These defects may result in communication failures, unexpected system behavior, damage to CAN devices, or other unforeseeable risks.

Furthermore, PEAK-System and its authorized distributors are unable to provide technical support, warranty service, or after-sales support for counterfeit products.

How to Identify Counterfeit Products

PEAK-System has identified several common differences between genuine and counterfeit products, including but not limited to:

• Differences in the enclosure color, material, and surface texture.
• Genuine PCAN-USB (IPEH-002021 / IPEH-002022) devices feature a light gray housing with four diagonal grooves on both sides.
• Genuine products have the PEAK-System logo embossed directly on the bottom plastic housing, whereas counterfeit products often lack this feature or display poor manufacturing quality.

Please Note: Some counterfeit sellers may misuse product images taken from the official PEAK-System website. Therefore, product photos displayed on online marketplaces may not accurately represent the actual item delivered. Customers are strongly advised to verify the authenticity and source of the product before purchasing.

Regarding Third-Party Products Claiming Compatibility

Some manufacturers claim that their products are fully compatible with PEAK-System devices. PEAK-System hereby makes the following official statement:

PEAK-System drivers, software, and APIs are designed exclusively for genuine PEAK-System hardware and do not support third-party or counterfeit devices.

Using PEAK-System software or drivers with non-genuine hardware not only violates the End User License Agreement (EULA), but may also cause computer malfunctions or damage to the entire CAN system.

Purchase Only Through Authorized Channels

To ensure product authenticity, warranty coverage, and comprehensive technical support, customers are strongly encouraged to purchase PEAK-System products only through authorized distributors or dealers.
