Sun Diagnostic Tool PDL 3000

The PDL 3000 had been designed based on latest market requirements to meet the demands of even highly discriminating customers. It pursues the tradition of SUN brand scan tools which all combine user-friendliness with high test coverage and a wide variety of features. In addition to simple and convenient operation via yes / no keys and the 4-way keypad, the PDL 3000 offers an ultra-modern touchscreen for quick navigation. This modern technology responds very fast to all inputs made by the operator. Power supply comes from the car. Alternatively the scan tool can be powered through a power pack with a set of standard batteries, or with rechargeable batteries which can be recharged using a commercial charging unit. It is a major benefit that the position of the diagnostic plug can be viewed first. The operating software as well as all data the user can save are available on a mini SD memory card. Communication with the vehicle systems is made via multiplexer which covers all vehicles having a DL 16 diagnostic plug (from M.Y. 2001). An adaptor cable set is available as optional extra for older models or systems which do not use DL 16 plugs. The ShopStream Connect PC software comes standard with the scan tool to print, or to manage user-taken screenshots or data movies. In addition ShopStream Connect offers enhanced possibilities of viewing of the saved diagnostic data or data movies. Activation of the PDL 3000 and all software updates are equally made through ShopStream Connect.

Online updates

So that all functions of the PDL 3000 can be used to their full extent, a variety of software bundles is available. In order to update, simply connect the PDL 3000 to the PC and download the update.
