Description
The Kvaser Leaf v3 connects a computer to a CAN bus network to monitor and transmit CAN and CAN FD data. It features a standard USB 2.0 connector and a 9-pin D-SUB connector in a compact housing suitable for space-constrained applications.
A CAN SIC transceiver keeps CAN FD stable at 8 Mbit/s, even in demanding network topologies. The Leaf v3 handles up to 20,000 messages per second, each timestamped with a resolution of 50 µs. It is powered through USB, requires no external power supply, and includes galvanic isolation as standard.
Every Leaf v3 works with Kvaser CanKing 7, Kvaser's free CAN and LIN bus analysis software. There is no licence to buy and no per-seat cost, and the Signal Plot extension turns raw bus traffic into live graphs of speed, voltage or temperature in engineering units.
Kvaser designs and manufactures in Sweden, and the Leaf v3 is built to meet the requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
