Part No.: MPPK-IPEH-101101
It enables signal conversion between Automotive Ethernet and standard Ethernet networks for development, testing, and analysis applications.
The converter provides transparent bit-level communication and supports both Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. The 100/1000 Mbit/s data rate can be configured manually or determined via Auto-Negotiation. With H-MTD and MATEnet Single-Pair Ethernet interfaces, plus USB or Phoenix connector power supply options, the device integrates flexibly into a wide range of applications.
The device can be configured via DIP switches, with settings adjustable during operation. The PAE-Media Converter also supports software configuration via USB connection and the USB API — for example, it can automatically generate SPE communication faults to verify vehicle behavior on a test bench.
| Item | Operating Temperature Range |
|---|---|
| Product Version 1.0 | -40°C to +70°C |
| Extended Version | -40°C to +85°C |
▲ PAE-Media Converter port layout
The PAE Media Converter is ideal for automotive electronics development, testing, and validation environments. It bridges Automotive Ethernet networks (100/1000BASE-T1) with standard Ethernet equipment, allowing engineers to use their existing analysis tools directly for testing and diagnostics.
Its built-in controlled link interruption feature simulates real-world communication faults without physically disconnecting cables, enabling repeatable test cases. The device also supports Plug-and-Play for quick integration into existing test benches, and with the optional USB API, it can be integrated into automated test environments.
