Our S4 package comes standard with wireless connectivity!

Featuring our high-end analyzer, Hercules, and compact S4 wireless hardware, this package is designed to support advanced communication with in-vehicle networks for use in a variety of OEM and supplier applications including diagnostics, simulation, and various custom applications.

Hercules supports CAN, Class2, and LIN protocols along with full support for GMLAN diagnostics. It also includes graphical display, real-time data playback, and hot-key service sending, among many other features.

The S4 hardware is compact, fast, and has built-in support for CAN, along with one expansion slot to support a specific plug-in protocol module. Read about Gryphon Modularity.

Additionally, it includes a 10/100T Ethernet connection.

Data Logger

Our Data Logger is stand-alone linux-based PC hardware interfaced to an OBD2 vehicle network... no PC is required!

Functions provided include: capturing, filtering, triggering, archiving and post processing data on the OBD2 bus.

The Datalogger hardware is configurable to log diagnostic transactions to any removable media, saved in an easily readable format without post processing...or manipulated as needed with software.

The Family Modules

The GRYPHON hardware family of products has flexibility that allows users to configure their hardware to work with a variety of vehicle network protocols, all supported by a family of available plug-in modules: CAN, J1850 (Class 2, SCP), Honda UART, LIN, UBP and KWP2000. Additionally, our I/O module provides analog and digital inputs and digital outputs, and a programmable voltage output is also present.

The GRYPHON hardware family of products interfaces to vehicle communication networks and serves as a gateway between those networks, LANs and point-to-point TCP/IP networks (wired or wireless Ethernet) to provide high-speed, multiple user interfaces.

Users can write their own applications using the provided client communication protocol specification or use one of DG’s software packages, such as our Hercules high-end analyzer software.

    S4 is also used as an interface for our Hercules CAN Analyzer software tool. Hercules is our high performance Windows analyzer software with protocol support for CAN (canbus), GMLAN, ISO11898 (CAN), ISO15765, J1850 GM (Class 2), J1939, J1979, J2284, J2411 (GM SW), LIN and SWCAN.
